Velvet is all about foundation. Her foals are generally at the top of our colt crop and with Badger they are always blue. Velvet is as good a blue roan mare as I have seen. She is extremely balanced and has a gorgeous head. Something that has not been the norm for Hancock's. You can thank Roger Voss for that as he has been refining the breed for about 40 plus years. We like her so well that we are sending her dam back to Roger to get more out cross brood mares and maybe a stallion or two. We should have shown Velvet but time didn't permit. We hope to show some of her offspring if we can keep them on the ranch. They move pretty fast. Her off spring can go anyway you want but should excel at steer roping, team roping, and pick up horses. They will show well at halter and look pretty good on a trail ride as well.
